Deadlines

We have been so busy opening the new facility incorporating Revolutions at the Watershed that we have not sent out Newsletters as frequently as we would have liked. We are in the process of updating our website and hopefully the full back-catalogue of Newsletters will be available together with exciting new functionality for the benefit of you all very soon.
There is so much for us to do and so little time to do it in. This thought gave rise to this Newsletter.
Nothing gets people to take action like a deadline.
If you haven't noticed, there are just over 50 days left in 2009. But you can still accomplish big things, such as improving your income, losing 10 pounds of body fat, or even finding the love of your life.
Those might be some of the goals you set on 1st January, but maybe something came up and you haven't hit them yet. Don't worry, I haven't hit all of mine yet either. Here are just some of the things I must do before the end of 2009...
1) Lose a further 6kg of body fat.
2) Go to bed every night before midnight.
3) Sort my ankles out.
4) Ensure all clients achieve the goals on their goal cards.
Fortunately, I've crossed off over 43 of the goals I set before New Year’s Eve, 2008. And I've done a lot of things that weren't on the list as well.
There is still time for you to reach big goals before the end of 2009.
Are you setting goals? Crossing them off as you accomplish them?
Setting goals is not a bunch of hogwash or hocus-pocus. Research shows that people who write down their goals succeed more often than people who don't write down their goals. It's that simple.
Write out your goals, review them frequently, and keep them at the forefront of your thoughts - that way you'll always be working towards them.
And use the "End of '09 Deadline" to light a fire under your backside to get things done. A deadline, such as having 50 days left in the year is often the best motivator. After all, on January 1st, there is no urgency to take action, and that's why we procrastinate.
So re-visit your goals today and chart a 50 day plan to achieve them. You can still make incredible progress in 2009!
